This was defenitely a hard time for my family....as we laid my Grandmother to rest. You guys did an Amazing job! From planning the services with us, to departing from the cemetery. You showed my family love and kindness, and we're thankful.
From the time we were welcomed into the doors of the funeral chapels, we experienced a warm, compassionate and welcoming spirit. We were greeted and welcomed with a feeling of open and embracing arms. Our Uncle Doug, the brother of our parents Cecilia and Donald Raphael and the Funeral Director of Lawrence Jones Funeral Chapels was the one for whom we were preparing this homegoing ceremony. Bishop Lindsay Jones and Reverend DeLawrence Shepherd walked us through the process patiently and handled things with the utmost of care and professionalism. Considering these trying times with COVID -19, the chapels maintained and already had a protocol for safety precautions, sanitation, seating, social distancing and were very accommodating of our requests.
Following our discussion and initial meeting, every detail was addressed and handled with care from the flowers, program, vocalists and photographic memories. On the day of the services, our family was again welcomed and carried through the process with white glove service. The program was executed with care and excellence from our arrival the day of the funeral and greeting by Retha to the ceremony at the gravesite . The eulogy shared by Bishop Lindsay Jones was truly heartfelt and spoke to Uncle Doug’s true character expressing what he meant to the Lawrence Jones Family and the community. Our family left Kansas City knowing that we had given him a wonderful goodbye with the help of the Lawrence Jones Family that truly loved and respected him and the service that they provide.
We were put at ease during a time that could have been so challenging and stressful.
