TYNESHIA DENISE SHELBY
Tyneshia Denise Shelby (known as TT, Princess and Tai Lou), 33, of Atlanta, Georgia, departed her life on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020. She is preceded in death by her uncle Craig Johnson.
Born April 5, 1986, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Kimberly Shelby (Henderson), she was the youngest of three siblings. In October of 1992, at the age of 6, her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was baptized at the age of 12. She enjoyed spending her Sunday mornings watching church service with Joel Osteen.
Tyneshia attended Glenn Haven Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia, and was involved in cheerleading with the local community park- Midway Cheer Team. She then went on to Sequoia Middle School in Doraville, Georgia, where she was on the cheerleading team and ran track. Tyneshia continued her education at Stone Mountain High School and furthered her education at DeKalb Technical College where she received her GED.
Tyneshia was a woman of many trades, working at Scandinavian Tobacco in Stone Mountain, Georgia, while she was driving for Lyft and Uber. When she had something on her mind, she stuck to it and accomplished it. Tyneshia also had a strong love for animals.
She also loved her family. Though she was hundreds of miles away in Atlanta, she always called to talk to her family. She adored her nieces and nephews. Tyneshia also enjoyed partying and getting her hair and nails done.
She had a beautiful spirit and would always uplift those around her. Also, she always kept a smile on her face. Tyneshia could turn any negative moment into a positive. Tyneshia dreamed of becoming an actress.
She leaves behind her mother, Kimberly Henderson, and stepfather, Timothy Henderson Sr.; her two brothers, Shawn (Jasmine) Shelby and Andre (Kara) Shelby; three stepbrothers, Timothy (TJ) Henderson Jr., Tyrone Henderson and James (Jimmy) Henderson; grandmother Beverly Johnson; grandfather, Howard Johnson Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. KCMO 64130. Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment Maple Hill Cemetery.
