Terry Lee Robinson was born September 28, 1961 to James Robinson, Sr. and Odella Huskey in Kansas City, KS. He was raised by his mother and step father Odell Whitmire. Terry was known as T-Dog by family and friends.
Terry accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Green Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. David L. Gray.
He was raised in Kansas City, KS and attended KS USD 500 schools. He graduated in 1980 from J.C. Harmon High School. Shortly after high school he joined the United States Army Reserve.
In 1989 Terry married Waletha Jones. And to this union one child was born and he also gained a bonus child; a step son. The marriage was resolved some years later.
Prior to becoming ill, Terry worked as a delivery driver for Hinkley Springs Water Company and also worked at his brother’s dealership. He was very outgoing and full of life. He enjoyed sports, fishing and music. He ewas always the life of the party with a great personality and a smile that would light up the entire room.
He was preceded in death by his mother Odella Whitmire, step father Odell Whitmire, step mother Willie Robinson and brother Rev. Reginald E. Robinson. Also, both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Terry l. Robinson departed this life on March 11, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory; father, James Robinson, Sr. of Kansas City, KS; three sons, TeQuan Davis of Kansas City, KS, Terrance Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada, Durell Jones of Denver, CO; four daughters, Tyletha Robinson, Valeata Robinson, Terry Lynn Robinson, Bailey Hamilton all of Kansas City, KS, six brothers, James Robinson, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Odell Whitmire II of Forest, Mississippi, Dewayne Robinson, Montee Robinson, Marlon Robinson all of Kansas City, KS, Vincent Taylor, Sr. (Marlyn) of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Denise Ashley of Kansas City, KS, Cynthia Ellison (Michael) of Lenexa, KS and Camille Harrison (Marlon) of Kansas City, KS. Seven grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at House of Prayer KCK. Visitation 9:00A.M. Interment Highland Park Cemetery.
