Rosie Lee Hayden was born December 31, 1933 in Macon, Mississippi to the union of ID Hayden and Addie J. Wallace-Hayden. She was preceded in death by both parents, her sister Jessie Hayden, her son, John Hayden daughter Evelyn Hayden and grandson, Daron Hayden (deceased)
Rosie was the youngest of two girls and grew up in Inverness, MS where she accepted Christ at an early age and received her education.
In her 20s she relocated to Kansas City, MO for a better life for her and her children. She was a hardworking woman who often times held two jobs to provide for her family. As much as she enjoyed working, she also enjoyed the fruits of her labor. She frequently travel, enjoyed gaming and the carefree lifestyle of cruises. She was colorful, multi-faceted and possessed a love that extended beyond family to friends and community. She was there for those in need, willing to lend her voice of reason and had a cunning way of always knowing what was going on.
Rosie retired from Stone Container as an Inspector and 10 years later from the Isle of Capri. After retirement she volunteered as a Senior Companion and later spent leisure time at Carousel Adult Center.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Jerry Hayden & Gilbert Hayden ( Bonnie), one daughter, Carmella Hayden, two granddaughters, Canela Hayden, Karitha Carroll (deceased), three grandsons, Damek Hayden, Terrance Banks & Travis Banks, three nieces, Dorothy Hayden (deceased), Sandra Hayden and Aretha Paul and 5 great grandchildren all of Kansas City, Mo. and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, January 16th at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd. KCMO 64130. Visitation 10am. Interment Brooking Cemetery.
