Rodena Thatcher was born on Nov 25, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri. Rodena attended Sumner High School of Kansas City, Kansas. She became a licensed cosmetologist and a career as a seamstress over a span of 50 years. She later worked for a Local 500 Union Hall for over thirty years, up until her departure to be with Christ. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was an extended member of This Rock Christian Tabernacle. Rodena was a woman with a very big heart! Always giving and helping family and friends. Always saying we can accomplish anything good if we put our hands to it. Rodena quietly departed this life and was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 1, 2020. Rodena was preceded in death by her mother Estabell Reddick, father Albert Hall Sr.; grandmother Edker Perkins; grandfather Averster Knoxs; son Eugene Thatcher II; sister Joanne Hill; three brothers Garland Hall, Derrick Hall , Albert Hall Jr. and step mother Louise Hawkins . Rodena leaves to cherish her memories two sisters Cynthia Hall of Denver Colorado and Toni Brignac (Wesley) of New Orleans, Louisiana. She also leaves two brothers Gary Hall of Kansas City, Kansas and Darryl Hall of Seattle Washington; three children, Eugene Thatcher Jr. (Deborah), Marc Kindred Sr. (Sony) , and daughter Kim Thatcher (David) all residents of Kansas City , Missouri.. God has truly blessed Rodena over the years to have 11 grandchildren, 14 great grand - children and a host of extended family. Rodena also had a long-life best friend Lisa McDaniel, also a resident of Kansas City, Missouri.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at This Rock Christian Tabernacle Church 12701 East Blue Ridge KCMO 64146. Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment Twelve Gates Memorial Cemetery.
