Robert Earl Green age 80, passed away on September 5, 2020 at Providence Medical  Center in Kansas City , Kansas. He was born on August 16, 1940 in King and Queen County, Va. to Georgianna Green ( Harris ). Robert ( Bobby  as he was affectionately known ) attended the public school system in New Kent County, Va. and King and Queen County Va.. He graduated from Central High School King in Queen Va. in 1958. After graduating he moved to New Jersey and remained there until he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served for 2 to 3 years. After serving his time he moved back to New Jersey, where he began to work as a truck driver, traveling all over the U. S.. Bobby decided to to settle in Kansas City, where he worked  various jobs finally retiring from the Walnut Association. Bobby had a great love for music which lead him to playing guitar and singing in various clubs and churches. He last resided at the  Medical Lodges in Kansas City. While there he could often be heard singing and playing or just strumming the strings. Robert was preceded in death by his mother Georgianna Harris, Stepfather  Alfred Harris, grandmother Ethel Jones and younger brother Terrence Harris. Robert leaves to cherish his memories his brother Anthony Quarles Sr. (Tammie ) of Va. One niece Latrese Braxton ( Alex ) 3 nephews, Delonne McCray Sr.( Heather ), Anthony Quarles Jr. (Destyne) and Terrence Quarles all of  Va. A host of great nieces and nephews, a very dear friend Muriel Echols ( Jim) of Kansas City, Kansas a special caregiver Kia Marshall of Kansas and a host of other family and  friends. A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the following: Staff of the Medical Lodges, Providence Medical Center ,Doctors, Nurses and Hospice team, Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Home .
