Pearlie Mae Jackson departed this life on September 10, 2020 at Lee's Summit Medical Center, Lee's Summit, MO. She was 81 years old. Pearlie was born on July 5, 1939 in Charelston, MO. She was the oldest of seven children born to Willis King, Sr. and Rosie Johnson King. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest D. Jackson, both parents and younger brothers, David Lee and Robert Wayne. After moving to Kansas City as a child, she attended RT Coles and graduated from Manual High School in Kansas City. Pearlie started her work career as a licensed cosmetologist, but over the years switched careers several times. At the insistence of her husband, she retired from working outside the home in 1985. Her husband Ernest later joined her in retirement and they pursued a passion that they shared of traveling the country. They joined a traveling club and were proud to say they had traveled to 48 states and parts of Canada and Mexico. The couple married in June 1980 and were happily married for 37 years until Ernest's Home Going in January 2018. She was a faithful member of Sheffield Family Life Center. A willing servant, she was active in several church ministries until her failing health caused her to worship at home. Every Wednesday and Sunday would find her worshiping on Livestream with her church family. Pearlie exemplified the Christian life. She was humble and kind; always faithful with her time, talents and resources. Many lives were touched by her faithful witness for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pearlie leaves behind a loving family that will miss her dearly. Daughter Andrea King-Jamison and son-in-law Calvin Jamison, Independence, MO. Grandson Justin King Lansangan, Kansas City, MO. Two stepsons, Michael Jackson (Elaine), Kansas City, KS and Ronald Jackson (Patricia) Lithonia, GA. Brothers Willis King, Jr. (Patricia), Kansas City, MO, Alexander Chris King (Delores) Kansas City, MO, James King, Kansas City, MO and Rodney King (Robin) Kansas City, MO. Her beloved sister-friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and acquaintances.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M on Tuesday, September 15th at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Linwood Chapel 1800 E. Linwood Blvd KCMO 64109. Interment Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery.
