Teona’ R. Jackson Henry was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 12, 1979, to Timothy and Kim Jackson. Teona’ was the first child barn to this union, a baby girl who was loved and blessed. Her mother Kim R. Fight-January proceeds her in death
Teona’ spent most of her life in Kansas City and attended Hickman Mills High School. She graduated with her class in 1998. She had many lasting friends from her school days.
Teona’ professed a hope in Christ at an early age, attending church with her family. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church for many years. She later united with the Eastside Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri and was a member there until she moved from Independence after the death of her mother. The family settled in Mid-West City Oklahoma to be near her father Timothy Jackson.
Teona’ was married to Kevin Henry. He preceded her in death. She was the mother of three children, a son and two daughters whom she loved dearly. One of the things Teona’ enjoyed doing was cooking big meals and entertaining. For years she suffered with a chronic illness which kept her in and out of the hospital over many years. Her last hospitalization sadly ended in her death on May 11, 2022, at Oklahoma University Health Hospital.
Teona’ was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Henry, her mother, Kim R. Fight-January and her Gran-parents Jimmy and Pearline Fight.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Timothy Jackson of Oklahoma, her children: ArMonte D. Bootic, Montaysha R. Henry and Savauyhna R. Henry, two brothers: Christopher M. Jackson and Jonathan L. Jackson. Two uncles: Jimmie L. Fight (Cassandra) and Rev Michael D. Fight (Tonya) and a host of uncles’, aunts’ cousins’ and friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022,11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
