Life & Legacy of Meredith Ann Harris
Meredith Ann Harris was born February 20, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri to David Lee Wilson and Luberta (Taylor) Wilson. She was the youngest of four siblings-two brothers and one sister. Meredith accepted Jesus Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior. She was raised with strong Christian and moral values. Meredith's church home was Emmanuel Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She enjoyed serving the church in various ministries and could frequently be found on most occasions serving at the church. Meredith received her GED in June of 1983. She wanted to ensure that she instilled in her children the drive to continue pursuing your goals when life presented challenging situations.
Meredith worked in the health care industry most of her professional career. She worked at Shalom Geriatric Nursing Home and Hope Care Home for well over 20 years in her career. During her career she achieved being certified as a Certified Medical Assistant, Accredited Medication Technician and CNA licensing. She enjoyed taking care of people on her job and most times she was looking up various prescriptions for family members to ensure they had the right medications to take for their illness. In 2015, she finally retired from working to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
Meredith enjoyed raising her children and establishing a strong environment for her children to be united and show love to one another regardless of what was going on in life. Meredith loved her family and was very outgoing to say the least. She was always having multiple conversations with her grandchildren, and she loved them all uniquely in her own way. She also loved travelling around the country as Many times as she could afford to get away on a trip.
Meredith's humor and personality was the link to her relationship with not only her family, but also with others that she would meet. Her smile was infectious, and you couldn't help but to love her because she was genuine.
Meredith was called home and gained her wings on August 3, 2022. She transitioned with love and care that was provided by her family.
