Marquitta J. Lowe passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born September 19, 1973 and was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City, MO area.
She accepted Christ at an early age. During childhood and her young life, she attended and became a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church and later attended St. James United Methodist Church. She rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri.
Marquitta was educated in the Catholic Schools of the ArchDiocese of Kansas City, Missouri. Attending St. Joseph, St. Regis, and Archbishop O’Hara High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1992. After graduation, she pursued her college education at Central Missouri State University.
She worked at various employers including Elite Financial Group Services, but later in life, she began a new career proudly following in her grandfather’s footsteps at the United States Postal Service. Marquitta loved to work, but what she loved more than anything was spending time with the family’s younger generation. Aunt Quitta or Quitta had special bonds with them that will forever be remembered and cherished. At times, it could be hard to tell the adult from the children when she was with them.
During her earthly journey, Marquitta was blessed with the love of many special people in her life. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert Lowe and Zyeaddle Morris Lowe, Aunt Judith Lowe, Uncles Albert Lowe III and Henry Williams, and Cousin Anthony Madden.
Marquitta’s life and memory will be cherished by her mother Shirley Lowe, brother Eric Lowe (Kelli), Lee’s Summit, MO, a very special niece and nephew, London and Eric Lowe Jr, and cousins Bryce and Christian Addison, Sydni Madden, Troy Gooden and Kai Lowe. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and two very special friends, Angie Clardy and Tonya Bailey.
