Debra Ann Griddine, 64, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on January 13, 2022.
Debra was born on May 3, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of William Henry Griddine and Mildred Elizabeth Griddine. She remained in Kansas City, Kansas until her death.
Debra attended Lincoln High School. She was employed as a data entry specialist for over thirty years at banks and hotels throughout Kansas City, Missouri.
Debra was a very loving, caring person who had a very funny wit. She was very comical and very creative. She loved to eat, draw and travel.
Debra was the eldest of six children, whom she helped raised. Along with having a daughter helping to raise nieces and a nephew. She was always there for family as well as anyone close to her heart.
Debra was preceded in death by Filmore Jackson, III, Filmore Jackson IV (son), Mario Filaun Jackson (son), William Griddine (dad), Rodney L. Griddine (brother), Tiffany L. Griddine (niece), Mildred E. Griddine (mom).
Debra is survived by her daughter, LeTina Griddine-Hatch (Harold) of Palm Coast, Florida; three sisters, Michelle Griddine of Kansas City, LaFrance Griddine-Clark of Daytona Beach, Florida, Teresa Fredieu (Donald) of Houston, Texas; one brother, Craig Griddine (Angie) of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandchildren, Harper, Ch’Risma and Harmoni all of Palm Coast, Florida; three uncles, Paul Davis (Media) of Kent, Washington, Robert Davis of Edwards, Missouri, Demetrius Davis, Sr. (Samzie) of Mira Loma, California and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Debra leaves behind a legacy to cherish her memory and love forever.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, 11:00am at Linwood United Church. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
