We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Missouri - Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels
Deborah Ann Whitley “Debbie” was born to the union of Flennord D. Smith and Barbara J. Whitley on August 27, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri.
She attended King Elementary, King Middle School, & Lincoln High School in the Kansas City Missouri School District. She loved to cook and always hosted dinners at her house to feed her entire family.
She worked at various jobs as a cook, St. Paul’s School of Theology, Palestine Senior Activity Center, & Benilde Hall just to name a few. She had a love for her family, and always tried to find ways to bring them together. If you stopped by, she would offer you something to eat, or give you clothes out of her closet.
Debbie loved to shop; she had so many clothes, shoes, & jewelry that she could have opened a department store! One thing that she did not miss, was her nail salon appointments, she would get her nails and toes done on a regular basis, always adding fancy designs. Debbie was truly loved, and will be missed by many.
