Cheryl Ann Martin was born on August 6, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Juanita Maxine Gibson and Paul Nathaniel Gibson. She was predeceased by her father Paul N. Gibson, brothers Harrison Gibson, Han W. Gibson, daughter Terri L. Martin and grandson Chevis D. Burch.
Cheryl attended Central High School and later retired from the Federal Aviation after thirty plus years. She was apart of the Ladies of the Fountain and was a faithful member of Linwood United Church for sixty plus years.
Cheryl’s many interests included Inner City Sewing Co-op, Quilting, Reading, Cross-Stitch, Crossword Puzzles, Riding the Troost bus in a clown costume and above all things she was a lover of life and lover of all people especially her family.
Cheryl leaves a multitude of family and friends with cherished memories. This includes her mother, Juanita Gibson; siblings, Paul Gibson and Jennifer Gibson; children, Dejuan Martin, Sr., Antwan Martin, James Martin, Sr, (Donna Roberson-Martin), Keith Martin, Craig Martin and Gayla Armstrong (Jemal Armstrong); grandchildren, Dejuan Martin, Jr. Tionna Martin, Bieonna Martin, Antionette Burch, James Martin, Jr., Tanzania Burch, Terrionne Burch, Kiara Martin, Juanita Martin, Kimberly Martin, La’Hara Broxton, Jafar Armstrong, Kingston Armstrong, Sophia Armstrong and many many great grandchildren
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, 11:00am at Linwood United Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
