Obituary

Evelyn Jean McLemore was born January 1, 1930 to parents Will McLemore and Metha Rasco McLemore in Lake Dick, Arkansas; siblings which preceded her in death: Theodore McLemore, Sandy McLemore, Dickie McLemore, Mary McLemore, and 2 other brothers who died in a fire.


Evelyn was baptized at an early age; She attended school at Five Forks Elementary in Arkansas and completed her education at Booker T. Washington in KCMO.


Evelyn was previously married to Dorsell Price, who preceded her in death; from that union, 2 children born; she later married Nathaniel Hall, Sr and to this union 9 children were born.


Evelyn was a housewife for many years before being employed at Bryant Butler Kitchen Nursing Center as a dietician and later retiring from The Manor of Kansas City, KS.


Evelyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Quindaro and joined under the leadership of Rev. Herring; before her death, she served on the Mother’s Board.


Evelyn was preceded in death by husband, Nathaniel Hall, Sr; children Juanita Hall-Curry and her husband John Curry, Bobby Price, Dorsie Mays, Jack Hall, Sr; grandchildren Michael Williams Jr, Deondraie Staves, Jr, Jackie Hall and Shaniqucia Hall.


Evelyn leaves to mourn, her children Nathaniel Hall Jr (Mildred) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Ezell Hall, Henrietta Muse, Eileen Hall--Wright (Tony), Evelyn Hall-Cole (Rodney), Oneita Hall, William Hall (Rebecca), Deborah Lucas (Johnny), all of Kansas City; Maurice Hall Sr of Las Vegas, NV; Paul Hall of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Mary Lee Routen and Flora Edwards of Memphis, TN; and special daughters Charlene Hall of Tulsa, OK and Tammy Clary of Kansas City; and special kid/grandkids: Anita Fountain, Angela Alexander, and Tylon Hall; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; she had 39 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren, and 55 great-great grandchildren…and counting

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, 11:00am at First Baptist of Quindaro. Interment Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
