Mrs. Bobbie Jean Shephard, 89, was born on July 11, 1933 to the union of John and Rosia Lee Williams in Camden, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Levester Williams, John Henry Williams and McCoy Williams, four sisters, Orell Porchia, Bennie Jean Jackson, Naomi Williams and Ruthie Lee Williams and oldest son, David B. Shephard.
Bobbie Jean was educated in the Camden, Arkansas Public Schools, she attended Camden High School. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she made her home for over seventy years. On March 6, 1957 Bobbie Jean united in marriage to David Shephard for over 65 years.
Bobbie Jean was employed by Veterinary Laboratories retiring in the early 80's. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.
She departed this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, David Shephard; six children, Cynthia Hines (Wayne), Donald Shephard, Ronald Shephard, Margie Shephard and Kathryn Jack; grandchildren, Marcus Austin, Ronald Shephard, Jr., Tiffany Hines, Anthony "Tony" Hines (Yamel), Bruce Jack II, Jarrid Jack (Tamara), Kayla Shephard and Dorla Jean Shephard (Mike), a host of great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 26, 2022, 11:00am at the Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Linwood Chapel. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery, LVNKS. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
