Obituary

Beauty B Wright was born May 17, 1957, in Holly Springs MS to Willie B and Alberta Akins which she precedes in death. She also preceded in death by her father and Mother in Love Oscar and Matti Wright, Grandson Quinton Tillman Jr and Nephew Charles “Buster” Akins.

Beauty was educated in the public schools of Kansas City KS and graduated from Washington High School. She worked at Providence Place for many years as a CNA and was the Activities Director till 2017.  She was a Proud Usher of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church KCK for many years.

Beauty departed this life on June 4, 2022, at Kansas City Hospice House Kansas City MO.  She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 34 years Larry Lee Wright of her only daughter LaTasha “Mae Mae” Powell (Anthony) Timothy Metcalf (Angela) Larry Gordon , Chereatha Tillmon (Quinton) Alphozo Gordon (Lashawn) Tyvette Washington, Shawn Jackson (Derrick) and Ray Henderson 6 Sisters Darlene Akins, Josephine Akins, Mae Akins, Mary Akins, Patricia Akins, Bobbie Jean Ellingberg (Richard) 2 Sisters in Love Mary Jean Williams and Juanita “Diane” Collier 13 Grand Children, 9 Great Grand Children, uncles, aunts and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, 11:00am at Forest Grove MBC. Interment Pending. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
