Larry De Noel Key was born to Bill Cameron, Jr., and Lizzie Mae Pickens on September 22, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the fourth child of seven siblings: Herman Key, Linda Johnson, Cheryl Brown, Anthony Key, and Davon Key.
Larry attended MCC-Penn Valley Community College and Rockhurst University in Kansas City Missouri. He was an exceptional businessman with over 30 years of experience within the Construction equipment industry, working as a National Sales Executive for Diamond Vantage located in Irvine, California at the time of his death. He was a dedicated husband, loving father to his children and adored his grandchildren. He was hardworking, charismatic and an avid sports enthusiast who loved his hometown sports teams Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Larry had a vibrant spirit that left an impact on everyone that he encountered. He professed a hope in Christ throughout his life and was a regular supporter of Christ Our Redeemer AME Church in Irvine, California before moving to Alpharetta, Georgia in 2021. He demonstrated this sincerity until the Lord called him home.
Larry De Noel Key departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at WellStar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife Pearline Key, father Bill Cameron, Jr., mother Lizzie Mae Pickens, brother Gary Key, and his grandson Dedarion Ramon Wallace, Jr.
He left to cherish and celebrate his transition into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ the following: His wonderful son Eric Key, daughters LaToya Key and Christina Key, son in law Hermann Simeu Nkontchu; grandchildren Dasia Wallace and Cameron Nkontchu Simeu; and dear friend Barbara Scales. He also left behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, 11:00am at Paseo Baptist Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
