Mr. Henry Mills

Henry Mills, passed away on January 17, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospice House.

Henry H. Mills passed away on January 17, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on September 15, 1935 in Ashdown, Arkansas to Dick Mills and Nettie Duckett Mills.

Henry grew up in Ashdown, Arkansas.  He attended Little River Training School leaving to join the United States Airforce.

Henry retired at the age of sixty-five.

Henry married Selma Lee Allen in 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were happily married for forty years.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Darryl Henderson, brothers, Isaac and Donald Walls, sister, Maynell Franklin.

Henry is survived by his spouse, Selma of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Steve Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Lessie (Albert) Smith of Kansas City, Missouri, Ernestine Nelson of Ashdown, Arkansas, Willie Mae Holmes of Grandview, Missouri; brothers, Tyrone Hooks of Texarkana, Texas, Danny (Alsa) Hooks of Ashdown, Arkansas; grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 11am-1pm at the Linwood chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
