Mr. Gregory E. Miller

Gregory Eugene Miller, Sr. was born May 1, 1958, to William C. and Dona Marie (Lewis) Miller. Gregory was given the nickname “Sput” by his father, because he was born shortly after the first artificial earth satellite was launched by the Soviet Union, called the “Sputnik.”

 Gregory went home to be with the Lord on April 18,2023. He was proceeded in death by his parents William (Jack) and Dona Marie Miller, his youngest sister Shelia R. Miller, A niece Crystal R. Miller and a nephew Quinton A. Miller. 

Gregory was educated In the Kansas City Public Schools. 

Gregory was an avid sports enthusiast and was a phenomenal baseball player. He would later coach his great-nephews in crafting their game in the sport. Gregory was a huge Royals and Chiefs fan. 

Gregory loved to cook, he had a real knack for grilling, he was famous for his chicken wings. 

Gregory worked many jobs throughout his life, at the time of his passing he had been employed for 7 years by Door Link Manufacturers. 

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory, his only son Gregory E. Miller, Jr. a grand-daughter Alexis Miller, five brothers William (Artis), Michael, Jeffrey, Ronald, Phillip (Charlotte). Two sisters, Sharon Thomas, and Rhonda Miller, all of Kansas City. Gregory leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, And a special friend Debra Lee.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
