Mr. George Scott

George Scott, 60, passed away on April 16, 2023 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on January 8, 1963 in Houston, Texas to George Posey and Aurora Ortiz.

George grew up in Kansas City, Missouri.  He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1981.

After High School, George moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and worked in Security for many years.  When he moved back to Kansas City, he continued to work as a Security Officer for various companies.  He began working for Securitas as a Security Officer where he worked for eight years.

George loved all kinds of sports, basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs football.  He loved family and friends and his work family.

George was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora Bryson, stepfather, Leonard Bryson, brother, Gerald Posey, nephew, Donell Cooper, Jr.

George leaves to cherish his memory:  siblings, Horace Scott, Harold Scott of Houston, Texas; Anna Lora Morales of Houston, Texas, Gretchen Jammiggeh of Kansas City, Missouri, William Lacy of Overland Park, Kansas, Sheila Williams of Topeka, Kansas, Dewey Reynolds of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends; Angela Cooper, Dewayne Cooper and many others.

funeral service will be held on Sat. April 22, 2023, 2:00pm at Linwood chapel. Visitation 12-2.  private disposition. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
