Forrest Howard Moore, was called from this life on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:10 A.M. at Kansas University Medical Center. He was born in Tillar, Arkansas on February 17, 1940. At the age of 12 the family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. Howard was preceded in death by his parents Gaston and Katie Jones-Moore. His sister, Eusherlene Moore and two brothers, Gaston Jr. and O.T. Moore.
Howard graduated from Manual High Vocational School in 1959, and shortly thereafter he developed an interest for the trade of printing and worked as a Pressman at various printing
companies. Due to health issues, Howard retired April 15, 2005 from Alpine Litho-Graphics.
On July 14, 1977, Howard married Delores Rowe and a blended family was formed, consisting of three daughters, Terry Barnes, Stephanie Scott and Angela Hawkins and two sons, Howard
and Michael Moore. He was a caring, compassionate and loving person, and an Excellent Cook, his chilli, burritos, barbeque and spicy greens were, AMAZING!!
He loved tinkering with his hands on any household project or cars. He would get his toolbox and before you knew it, it was done. His faithful companion, Desire (the family pet) would
compete with Delores often for first place in his heart. To some he was affectionately known as Dad, Grandpa, PaPa, Howie and Brother-in-law. But no matter what you called him, if you
needed him, he was always there.
Howard accepted Christ and was baptized in 1999 at Swope Parkway Church of Christ, where he worked faithfully in the Benevolence Ministry until his health prohibited him from continuing. We sorrowfully acknowledge his passing but rejoice in his homegoing, with tears in our eyes, his loving wife, Delores of 43 years. His daughters, Terry Barnes (Lee), Stephanie Scott (Stacey) and Angela Hawkins. His sons, Howard and Michael (Michelle) Moore. His brothers, Lee Moore (Jessie) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Fred Moore (Sylvia) and Wille Moore, both of Kansas City. Four sisters, Helen Green, Erma Moore, Sylvia Knight (Amos) and Rose Gardner all of Kansas City. Grandsons, Shelton, Darius, Michael and Lee. Granddaughters, Mishawn, Regan and Sydney. Great Granddaughters, Kymira, Daniya and Cheyenne plus and Extended family, Ben and Tammy Stephens. And a host of other relatives and friends
