Fernando Farr Jr., 79, was born January 20, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the 7th child born to Fernando Far Sr. and Bertha (Finley) Farr. Both parents, brothers, Edward Farr, Leon Farr and William Farr; sisters: Doris Goudeau and Beverly Kitchen; sisterin-law Marilyn Farr; brother-in-laws Albert Goudeau, Connie Kitchen, and Arthur L. Redmond all preceded him in death.
Fernando attended Attucks Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. and graduated in 1961 from Lincoln Senior High School in the Kansas City Missouri school district. After graduation, he entered the United States Army, leaving with an honorable discharge. After returning home from the U.S. Army, Fernando attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, MO and received his Associate degree.
He was employed by Pan Plus as an inspector until he retired. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Bug”, enjoyed all sports. From the age of 6 yrs. old, he played and loved the game of baseball, which was his favorite of all.
He had a hustle mentality and at the age of 7, his hustle began by selling THE CALL newspaper. He provided and showed an ABUNDANCE OF LOVE to many. Everyday that he lived was a PARTY.
Fernando Farr Jr., leaves to cherish his memories the very special love of his life, Ms. Delphia “Dee” Joss; his sisters, Eula M. Farr and Shirley J. Redmond, both of Kansas City, MO; his brother, Earnest “Junior” Mimbs of Kansas City, MO, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons & Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
