Obituary

Mr. Eric Lionel Jones Sr., 57 passed away on March 29, 2021 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born February 16, 1964 in Kansas City Missouri to Clifford and Stella Mae Hawkins-Jones.

Eric grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1982. After high school he began work for T.G.I. Fridays as a server where he worked forone ye ar. He was involved in his community as the neighborhood candy store man.

Eric married Lashunda Jones in 2015 in Kansas City. They were happily married for 6 years.

Eric enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Eric was preceded in death by his mother Stella Mae Jackson and his stepfather, James Jackson.

Eric is survived by his spouse Lashunda, his children Eric Jr., Brandon, Miasya, Dequan, Juston, Jaelyn and Amyah, two brothers Clifford Jr. and Jerome Jones, two grandchildren Travon and Erica, nieces, nephews all of Kansas City, Missouri and a large host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will held Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am  at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
