Anthony Q. “Tony” Kennedy departed this life on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at his home in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 24, 1956.

Anthony was educated in the public school system attending Ladd Elementary and later Central Senior High School.

Anthony served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He attended UMKC before becoming an EMT Paramedic.

Anthony and wife Juanita moved to Anaheim, California where he worked for over 10 years . He and Juanita later transferred to Tampa, Florida where he was employed in the Emergency Department by the VAHospital up until his passing.

Anthony enjoyed traveling, taking many vacations with his wife. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson bike. He was smart, quiet, reserved, and loved by many people. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Kennedy, mother, Melba Jean Kennedy, brother, Ernest A.Kennedy, and sister, Johnnetta C. Rembert. He leaves to mourn: a brother, Kenneth F. Kennedy; sisters, Natalie V. Mosby and Jamesetta Kennedy; sister-in-law, Velma Kennedy; brother-in-law, Ronald E. Rembert; nieces, Kelly Kennedy and Danielle Franklin; nephews, Christopher E. Mosby and James Kennedy; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Anthony will always be cherished and remembered in our memories, thoughts, and prayers 

 A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 20,2021, 12:00pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery, LVNKS. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to COVID-19 protocols, social distancing and face coverings are required indoors.
