Louise Hamilton Toombs was born to Troy and Gennie Mae Hamilton. She was the second child of four children. Louise was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Her sunrise was on June 16, 1927. Both of her parents preceded her in death, also her brother, John Hamilton, Sr., oldest sister, Frances Taylor, Dottie Sue Houston, the baby girl, three grandchildren, Anthony D. Ivy, LaVeda R. Sherman, DeAndre L. Cleveland, great grandchildren, Marcus J. Taylor, Curtis G. Sherman, III, Cortez E. Sherman.
Louise was married to Mel B. Ivy and to that union one child was born, Nellie Mae Ivy Cleveland. Louise accepted Christ at an early age. She was the oldest member of Spruce St. Matthew Church. Louise was a grandmother of five, great grandmother of fourteen, great great grandmother of nineteen, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Louise leaves a saying “Don’t watch me but watch the moves I make” Five special great grandchildren, Curtis, Loni, Tierra Kenny, Demone, Ronnell.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 9th at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation 9:00 AM. Interment Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery.
