Etta Jane Williams - Jack of Kansas City, MO was born December 3, 1948 in Butler, MO to Betty Hawkins Cooper and Sylvester Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Etta Wright and Melvin “Doc” Hawkins, two brothers Danny Cooper and Steve Hawkins, two sisters Sharon Shobe and Karen Mallatt.
Etta, the eldest of nine children grew up in Butler, MO where she graduated from Butler High School. She later attended Draughon’s business college and Longview Community College where she earned her Associates degree. She held several positions with various companies before retiring from Marion Laboratories after 13 years of service.
Etta received Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Butler, MO and later united with Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church for many years before uniting with Concord Fortress of Hope Church in Kansas City, MO.
On December 14, 1996 she exchanged vows with the love of her life Jammie Jack. Etta enjoyed reading, traveling, watching home decorating shows, cooking shows and soap opera.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jammie Jack; daughter Gayla Mays of Raymore, MO; Stepson Jamie Jack of Denison, TX; Grandson Martell Love of Kansas City, MO; three brothers Melvin Shobe (Teresa), Kenny Cooper all of Butler, MO and Gerald Shobe (Debra) of Rich Hill, MO; one sister Carla Besendorfer (Dan); 5 step grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
