DENISE PERRY SHYNE

Denise Perry Shyne was born on April 24, 1960 to Dexter and Willie Perry.  She was the fourth of eight kids, both parents, brother Herb “Heavy” Perry, sister Sharon “Shay”, Bess, Annette, Elijah, “Twin”, Perry, a grandson Deron Hall, Grandparents Hattie Perry all preceded her in death.  Denise attended Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas and later attended Wyandotte High School where she was a proud 1978 graduate. Denise was a member of the Church of the Living God under the Leadership of C.L. Lewis.  She loved to sing in the choir and participate in worship both local and national.  She was then under the leadership of Bishop Tommie A. Masters where she also sung with the music group named Angel of Faith.  Denise worked at BPU for several years before moving to Florida, and then working for Florida Gas Company till she returned to Kansas City until her death.  Denise leaves behind Damon Henderson who was the love of her life; Two daughters Latasha Renee Perry (Wayne), and Kimberly JaNiece Perry, (Derrick); seven grandkids; two sisters Anita Cole (Milton), and Phyllis Perry; two brothers Edwin Ford and Keith Green.  A host of nieces and nephews.  Special love for Brittany, Clental and Wayne Bess.  She enjoyed being around family and friends and dedicated her life on keeping them together by having cook-out, celebrating birthdays both the young and the old.  She was loved by everyone she met.  She loved being the life of the party and making everyone feel like family instead of a stranger. She will be missed by her friends Gunner Perry and Henry Cole.  Also, she will she was a blessing to all that knew her.  Her name will remain an eternity to us all.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Guiding Star Missionary Baptist Church 3035 North 27th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66104. Visitation 9:00 a.m.  Private Disposition.
