Deborah Denice Amos-Edwards, 54 passed away on May 16, 2020 at St. Lukes Hospital in Lee Summit, Mo. She was born on January 16, 1966 in Joplin, Mo to Charles Amos and Maxine Amos. She was the oldest of four kids, sister Bridget Amos, Brothers Charles L. Amos and Derrick Amos (Arlean Amos).
She graduated from Paseo High school in 1984 in Kansas City, Mo. Deborah worked at UMKC, St. Lukes Hospital, AT&T, IRS, Truman Hospital, and Children’s Mercy Hospital for several years. Deborah married Eric on August 16, 2003. She was a devoted member of Barker Memorial Cathedral of Praise (Bishop Mark Johnson) and accepted the Lord into her life.
She survived by her husband Eric Londale Edwards Sr., her mother Maxine Amos. She acquired five step-children. Eric L Edwards Jr. ( Becky Edwards), Ashley D. Edwards, Deangelo R. Mack, Bradley L. Mack, and Jamal R. Young. A host of grandkids, nieces and nephews and extended family. She also had unconditional love for her best friend Paulette Long and her God Children. Deborah had a love for cooking and baking. She enjoyed shopping especially for purses, going out to eat and spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends. She was also known as the family event coordinator.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Private Disposition.
