Christopher Ryan Johnson of Kansas City, MO received his wings Sunday morning, February 2nd, 2020, at the age of 38. He was born May 10th, 1981 to Carmelita Darcell Johnson, who preceded him in death along with his great-grandmother, an aunt, three uncles, and a cousin with whom he shared a special bond.
Christopher attended elementary school at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, and graduated with honors from The Seton Center in 1999. Christopher gave his life to Christ at a young age. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and attended several churches in the Kansas City Missouri Metropolitan Area throughout his life.
Chris had many talents and interests. He was a poet, an artist, a rapper, an athlete, and a gifted comedian. His intelligence and IT savvy allowed him to become a local entrepreneur by starting a small technology business. Chris was the epitome of a big cousin. He enjoyed showing his younger cousins the ropes in football and sharing his eclectic taste in music. He was a sneaker head and had a great sense of fashion and style. What we will miss most about Chris is his comedic antics. He had the natural ability to make others laugh, and found joy in being the life of the party.
Chris was fiercely loyal. If he loved you, he never wavered and every time he saw you the love would be the same, genuine and authentic. Chris found comfort in social media, and became popular for his infamous Facebook Live videos. He loved being around his family and friends more than anything in the world. And he had a special place in his heart for some of his favorite hanging buddies, cousins Shane Ray, Ronnie Johnson Jr., Charlaun Johnson, Whitney Johnson, Senea Johnson, DuJan Johnson, Michael Wates Jr., Queea Stephenson, Shamira Stephenson, and close friend Lonell Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted grandmother, Louise Johnson whom he adored, his father Christopher Echols, along with his family, his loving girlfriend of many years Tiffany Bean, his aunts Sheila Johnson, Roxanne Johnson, Sebrina Johnson, Selena Johnson, Betty Hogan, his uncles Shellie Johnson and Ronnie Johnson Sr., all of Kansas City, MO, and his aunt Queea “Kiki”Miller of Tijuana, Mexico, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
