Mr. Archie Lee White Jr., son of the late Archie L. White Sr. and Betty Jackson, was born on January 1, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. Archie attended Lincoln High School before serving his country by joining the Marines in 1962. He retired from the United States Army in 1998 after 28 years where he worked as a Maintenace Supervisor. Archie was a professed believer in Jesus Christ, was baptised at age 16, and was a member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon in training until his health no longer allowed him to serve.
Archie united in Holy Matrimony with Zara White on October 16, 1992 in Miami, OK. He was blessed with six children, nineteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
More than anything, Archie believed in the importance of God, family, and enjoying life. As a result of his generous spirit and welcoming personality, Archie was loved by many. He would often use sayings to encourage others to have faith including:
Why pray and not believe?
Don’t worry about the mule going blind. Just sit on the saddle and hold the line.
His influence will forever remain in the lives of those who knew him.
