Mr. Theodore R. Turner, Jr.

Obituary Theodore Roosevelt Turner ,Jr., was born February 8, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska and was the oldest of two children born to Theodore Roosevelt Sr. and Elizabeth Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Elizabeth Turner, his brother Ronald R. Turner, and his two sons Theodore R Turner III and Anthony Dwain Turner. A special tribute to Elma Jean Turner for her love and care to Theodore Roosevelt Turner Jr. and the entire family. Theodore graduated from Central High School in Omaha Nebraska and furthered his education in a Masonry VoTech Institute. From this institution he began his industrial career, working for Calvington Floor Company, opening the door for him to travel throughout the United States doing what he loved. This led him to become well known in his craft leading him to join Operative Plasters’ and Cement Masons’ International Association local 518 where he was a member for over 60 years. He later was employed by the J.E.Dunn Construction Company where his craftsmanship is still being displayed in Star Light and hospitals alike even until this day. Here he became a Forman until his retirement in 2002. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, cooking, and mission trips in Africa. He also loved blues and jazz music. Theodore R. Turner, Jr., gave his life to Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. And later became a member of Zion Grove. In his latter days he attended Graceway Church. He was a member of Coles Finch Lodge #186. F. & A.M. Theodore Turner leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Tammy L. Turner. his children Phillip (Edna) Turner in Waller, Texas, David Turner in Thomasville ,Alabama, Karen TurnerBrooks in Houston ,Texas, Susan (David) Newell in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ronald Turner in Kansas City, Missouri, and a daughter Tasha McGee in Kansas City, Missouri. sisters in laws, Anna Mae Grigsby in Kansas City, Missouri, Charlotte Brown in Tulsan, Arizona, Shirley Brown in Overland Park, Kansas. He leaves to cherish his memory 25 grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, 11:00am at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the chapel, Masonic Ceremony Service 10:00am at the chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
