Mr. Steven E Jones

Steven Eugene Jones, 53, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born November 13, 1972, at the old St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City Missouri. Steven was baptized into the Catholic faith at Blessed Sacrament Church. After the closing of Blessed Sacrament Church, he attended Risen Christ Church in his youth. Steven attended both elementary and high school in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Labette Community College, Parson, Kansas. Steven chose to work with his hands. He found his passion in working with concrete. He worked for several construction companies in the Metro Kansas City area. Steven was kind and hardworking, he loved Jazz, sports and became very passionate about eating healthy and gardening. In November of 2020 Steven lost his eyesight. Stevens’s blindness found him in communities of friends that would help him. It was these communities that society shuns, the homeless, the handicapped, and those who suffered mentally that looked after our loved one. They supported Steven and each other, and we, the family are so grateful for them. Steven loved his family. He was a child of God, a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, and a dear friend to many. Steven was preceded in death by his twin children, a son, Solomon Jones, a daughter Stevie Marie Jones, and father, Kenneth Armstrong Sr. all who wait to greet him. Steven leaves to celebrate his life, wife, Ayonda Jones; daughter, Aniya Jones; mother, Sharon Sanders; sisters: Cheryll(Darrell) Hill, Elaina (Fred) Anderson, mother-in-law Janet Jones, sister- in-law Latrice Brandon; his nephews: Robert (Lindsey) Holmes, Ryan(Brittany)Holmes; aunts; Betty Adair, Margaret(Berry) Aldridge and uncles; Donald Dallas, Chicago, IL. and Clarence C. Jones Jr. Seattle WA; his bonus brothers and sisters: Kenneth Armstrong, Kelley Armstrong, Michael Sanders, Ladonna Sanders and Lashay Sanders; his cousins of the following families, Adair, Aldridge, Bolder, Cunningham, Dallas, Jones, Murray, Theis, and Walker; his great nephews Kingston, Brantly, and Woodson and a host of family and friends that he loved. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. St. Therese Little Flower Parish 5814 Euclid Ave KCMO 64130. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am. Private Disposition.
