Mrs. Sheryl McMillan-Adams

Obituary Sheryl Louise McMillian-Adams was born to Julia McMillian and Jessie Wolf in Kansas City, Kansas on April 5th, 1956. She began Senior High School at Wyandotte High School and Graduated with The Class of 1974. She went on to continue her education at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. In the late 1980's, Sheryl began her career with The United States Postal Service. After being a highly admired part of the USPS for over 30 years, Sheryl retired on June 30th, 2020 with hundreds of coworkers wishing her the best after over 3 decades of loyalty and dedication with her team. On September 30th, 2000, Sheryl married Curtis Lee Adams. She lovingly called her husband "Curt" and they shared 3 sons; Kendall Lindesay Howard, Fernando Lindesay Howard, Fernando Lindesay Howard, Jr. and Curtis Adams, Jr. Sheryl took great pride in spending time with her family. She took trips to Phoenix to visit her grandchildren, Branson, Missouri to catch rest and relaxation with Curt, various locations for family reunions to spend time with loved ones, and her favorite restaurant, Siki Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar. Sheryl formed treasured bonds with many close friends throughout her years. A few special friends included Renee Block, Sheryl Barksdale and Tonna Dodd. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done every two weeks, going to the boat on Wednesday's and traveling to Chicago and Minnesota with her clost cousin, Gail Daniels. Sheryl was batpized and will be welcomed to her heavenly home by her mother, Julia McMillian, father, Wolf, sisters; Joyce Herndon, Annie MCMillian, and son Fernando Lindesay Howard, Jr. Sheryl leaves to cherish her memory husband, Curtis Lee Adams, Sr., sons, Kendall Lindesay Howard, Curtis Adams, Jr., brother, Jerome Herndon, sisters-in-law, Angela Jones (Ricardo), Vera Adams, brother-in-law, Robam Adams (Jannis), Johnnie Adams, 17 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relative and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 2nd at Christ Church of The Jesus Hour 1119 North 18th Street KCK 66102. Visitation 9am. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery KCK.
