Obituary Rudolph Bobby Jackson Jr. also known as “Rudy”, 91 passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at Jefferson Place Nursing Home. He was born May 5, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Rudolph Jackson Sr. and Pearl Ransom. Rudolph accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Rudolph knew Jesus through praise and worship while attending Pentecostal COGIC. Rudy worshipped and received spiritual guidance in the Pentecostal Church under Bishop Rucker. Rudy enlisted in the United States Army July 6, 1954, serving in Germany where he got an Occupation Medal, and he was a Sharpshooter (Carbine). Rudy served his country for eight years. Rudolph Bobby Jackson married Charlene Cowley May 6, 1980, by Reverend Dr. John W. Williams. Rudy married Charlene and took on the role of dad for three of her four sons. Paul Cowley, Patrick Cowley, and Raymond Cowley. Rudy loved each as his own and always generously provided support for them. Rudy was firm in his discipline and love for them. Rudy was gifted in music where he played the organ, piano and guitar. When people would visit the home on display was a piano and organ in the dining room. Rudy was gifted in décor where he took time to uniquely design areas in the home. Rudy loved fountains, the family home had three: one in the front yard, corner stairs and one in the basement. Rudy loved to paint and did several portraits of family members. Rudy did an art show and sold most of his paintings. Rudy was employed at Kansas City Life Insurance as a Custodian where he took pride in polishing the main entry hall floors. Rudy would then purchase his own buffer to clean at Kansas City Life when he was off duty and took on cleaning private homes. Rudy retired from Kansas City Life after working over 20 years. Retirement didn’t stop Rudy who later was employed at Commerce Bank as a Security Officer for years. Rudy had gotten Alzheimer and no longer worked because of declining health. Rudy was preceded in death by his father Rudolph Jackson Sr. and mother Pearl Ransom. Rudolph Jackson leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Charlene Jackson; her four sons Paul Cowley (Gayle), Patrick Cowley, Richard White and Raymond Cowley. Brother-in-Law Esque Martin Oakland, California; Maxine Lewis Shreveport, Louisiana; Celcia Johnson Kansas City; John Cowley Kansas City, Missouri and Charles Cowley Kansas City. Grandsons: Raymond Cowley II, Jaylen Cowley, Jaden Cowley Granddaughters Riqika White, Zaria Craig, Jayla Cowley and Makala Cowley. A host of family, friends, coworkers, and healthcare workers will miss your smile, laughter and love. On the last visitation to see Dad at Jefferson Nursing Home “I said Dad we will see you later” Dad pointed to the wall. I repeated myself “Dad we will see you later” he pointed to the wall. Gayle said Paul I think he’s trying to tell you something. Dad got his wings on Monday July 26, 2021, days after our last visit. Funeral Service will be held next Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery, LVNKS.
