Mr. Robert S. Mc Kinney

Robert entered this world on February 21, 1942, and departed on August 31, 2025, in St. Mary's Georgia. Robert was 83 years old when he fell asleep in death. Robert Sidney McKinney was born to the late Louis McKinney and Lloyd Marie Robertson in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Robert graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years. After being released from the US Air Force, Robert returned to Kansas City and began working for the United States Postal Service. After 15 years with the Post Office, Robert changed employment and began a career working for the Kansas City Water Department. Robert held various positions during his employment with the KC Water Department and retired after 21 years of service. Robert dedicated his life to Jehovah and he served as a faithful witness for many years in various congregations throughout Kansas City. Robert first served a Ministerial Servant and before long, he was appointed to serve as an Elder, working hard for many years in both, the congregation and the field ministry. He was a kind, wise and spiritually mature Christian who always strived to show loving concern and interest in helping others learn about Jehovah, His Son Christ Jesus, God’s Kingdom, and God’s purpose for the World of Obedient Mankind. Robert’s wife, Josephine and his stepdaughter, Audrey were his caregivers and they both, did all they could to ensure his comfort throughout his sickness, as they demonstrated the depth of their loved to the very end. Robert was preceded in death by his first Wife: Estella McKinney, his Parents: Lloyds Marie Robertson (Mother), and Louis McKinney (Father); Three Sisters: Francille D. Anderson, Ruby Templeton, and Shirley Clark; Two Brothers: Jimmie Woods, and David Woods, and Three Grandsons: Gerald Raphael, Gabriel Sidney Williams, and Gabriel Christopher Williams. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his Beloved Wife: Josephine McKinney, Seven Children: Robert L. McKinney, Robin Williams (Gerald), William Johnson (Shirley), Michael Johnson (RHEA), Rodney Johnson, Audrey Taylor (Kenneth), and Avon D. Johnson; His Grandchildren: Robert Jr., Brandon Williams (Tomeika), Gerallynn, England Williams, William Johnson, Myles Johnson, Shaunta, Cierra, Princess Katie, Justin Johnson, Karris Johnson, Jacques Parker, Kimberly, Barbara, Brandi Taylor, AshLynn, Devonta, Asia, Avon Johnson Jr., Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives. Dear Friends John Brown (Gail), Mike Brown (Cynthia), Curtis (Sandra) and Melvin Surratt, Marcus Harris, Louvell (Deborah) Richard, Yvette Caskey and Yvonne Johnson and all who supported Robert. Robert will be missed by all who knew him, as he lived a life of Joy. And finally, as mentioned at Psalm 112:6 The righteous will be remembered forever. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025, at 12:00 (Noon) at Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses 10000 James A. Reed Road KCMO 64134.
