Mrs. Pearly M Ramphal

Pearly M. Ramphal was born to dear parents Norman and Alberta. She attended Central High School and graduated with nine subjects in the Senior Cambridge Examination. After which she entered the Civil Service of the Government of then British Guyana and worked in the Treasury Department After marrying the love of her life, Sydney Ramphal, on March 19, 1960, she had to resign because, in those days, you could not be married and work in the Civil Service. Pearly then became a teacher. She taught at Moravian Public School and St. Andrews Lutheran School. After her fourth child, Judy, Pearly felt the need to resign from teaching and take time to rear the children. To their marriage, one son and four daughters were born, including Rev. S. Samuel Ramphal, Rev. Becky Hublal, Grace Ramphal, Rev. Dr. Judy Ramphal, and Laura Ramphal. Rev. Sam is married to Jennifer, and they have three children: Alexis, who is married to Treyson Woods, Alyssa, and Joseph. Rev. Becky is married to Rev. Lokenauth Hublal, and together they Pastor the Cypress Hills Assembly of God in Brooklyn, New York. They have two sons, Dr. Rajesh Hublal, who has one daughter and son, Isabel and Lucas. Their second son, Devin, is married to Christina. Sis. Ramphal loved her family and never wanted to be without them. She was the best Mother ever in their kids eyes, a supportive and wonderful wife, married to Pastor Sydney for over 65 Years, a loving Grandmother and Great-grandmother, and above all, someone who loved God and would tell everyone she met about Jesus. Sis. Ramphal was a giver. She did not consider herself wealthy; however, when she received money, her joy was in giving it to others. She was also a wonderful cook who prepared meals with love. Her specialty was chicken curry, Pepperpot, and cook-up rice. Sis. Pearly has wonderful brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, very special nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States, Guyana, Canada, and Australia. Communication became difficult in the latter years; however, we know their love remained. Rev. Pearly Ramphal was a Lay Preacher in the Assemblies of God, Sunday School Teacher, Adult Choir member, Worship Leader, Vice President of the Women’s Ministry, and wore many hats simultaneously. She accompanied her husband on mission trips to India, Nairobi, Kenya, Jamaica, Trinidad, Surinam, the Bahamas, Canada, and several other countries where she ministered to the ladies. God used Pastor Sydney and Sis. Ramphal to start many churches, and within those churches, close friendships were sealed for life. Our families, though spread out across the world, continue in their Christian faith, love, communicate, and pray for each other. Additionally, the ministerial families in the SOMO district and the surrounding districts contributed tremendously in making the move to K.C. comfortable for Sis.Pearly and family, and they became irreplaceable friends. These friendships were invaluable to her. Sis. Pearly’s final church was Grace Assembly of God. Here God used her with many of the Gifts of the Spirit. The gift of healing, tongues, and interpretation were among the most glaring. Many individuals, including her family, were healed as a result of her prayers to God. Pentecost was introduced to numerous who heard tongues and interpretation for the first time. She loved the Grace Assembly church family and would do anything for them. She was always giving, praying, and asking them about their personal lives. And she always had work for them to do. The Grace Assembly church family stood with Sis. Ramphal, as she experienced the most recent and difficult years. Thank you for your love, Grace Assembly family.
