Obituary Portrait of Ozie B. Ellison Ozie B. Ellison was born on a plantation in Taylor, Arkansas on May 18, 1922, to Webb and Mattie Gipson. She was one of 15 children. Ozie accepted Christ at an early age and it remained dear to her heart. Ozie B met and married her husband Jessie Anderson and they had three sons together. She later moved to Spring Hill, Louisiana and gave birth to three more sons. Ozie B was loving, caring, full of life and a hard worker. Her strength to persevere and carry on was indescribable. She worked for everything she had and raised her sons to best of her ability. Ozie loved puzzles, comic books, old television shows and quilting. She worked at Fountain View Nursing Home where she retired. After she retired she continued working by cooking and cleaning for families. Ozie worked until she couldn’t work no more. Ozie B later relocated to Kansas City, Kansas in 2003. She remained there until God called her home. Ozie departed this life on Wednesday February, 24th she joined her three sons, James Jr. Anderson, Jessie D. Anderson and Johnnie L Ellison, parents, sisters, brothers and grandson waiting to greet her in heaven. She will always be remembered for her loving and kind nature. Her enjoyment in life was being with her family. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory: her three sons, Willie Anderson of Kansas City, KS , Robert Ellison of Taylor, Arkansas and James Lee Ellison of Miami, Florida. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons-Kansas Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery Kansas City ,KS. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
