Michael Lane Fisher

Obituary Michael Lane Fisher, passionately known as “Mike”, was born on October 5, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Jessie and Elizabeth Fisher. He was the second oldest of three children, Robert Orlando and Lynda MaShawn Fisher. On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, Michael left this life to rest eternally in the Master’s arms at the age of forty-nine. He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Louis and Anna Mae Fisher, and maternal grandfather, Ernest Ford, Sr. Michael received his education from the Grandview School District and graduated from Grandview Senior High School in 1988. Michael furthered his education at Longview Community College where he obtained a Degree in Computer Programing. He also received a Certificate of Automatic Engine Repair with Internships at Deffenbaugh Disposal Service. On October 22, 1990, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Tawna Renea Patrick and of that union three children were born, Derrekk, Ashlee, and Nicolle. In January of 2016, he married Ashli Ann Whillesey and of that union, no children were born. Mike was fun-spirited, family oriented, and an easy to love person. He loved to laugh and was easy going. He enjoyed spending time with his children and was a die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He sported the red and yellow religiously throughout the football season. He was also a fan of the Kansas City Royals and was employed at the Kauffman Stadium, so he could enjoy games and the environment simultaneously. Michael Lane Fisher leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ashli Fisher; three children: Derrekk, Ashlee, and Nicolle; his parents, Superintendent Jessie and Elizabeth Fisher all of Kansas City, Missouri; two siblings, Robert Fisher of Kansas City, Missouri and Shawn Fisher; two nephews, Dominique Fisher and Ayden Fisher of Arlington, Texas; lifelong friend, Tawna Patrick of Columbia, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Michael Lane Fisher will be held Saturday, March 24, 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ, 2422 Van Brunt Blvd. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
