Obituary MISSIONARY MARY DELORES TANNER Mary Delores Tanner 63, passed away on January 18, 2020 at her home on 5500 Cypress in Kansas City Mo 64130. She was born April 18, 1956 in Drew Mississippi to Henry Lee and Emmie Elizabeth Baskin Tanner. Mary Delores grew up in Kansas City Mo. She Graduated from Manuel Technical High School in Kansas City Mo. After high school she attended Pioneer College at Penn Valley in Kansas City Mo where she received a certificate in Business. Mary begin work for Parmalee as a machine operator where she worked for several years. She later owned and operated an in-home daycare center called Mary’s Healthy Babies until she retired. Mary was involved in several community clothing closets and food pantries she loved helping, feeding and giving to others. Mary Married Larry Eugene Cochran in 1971 in Kansas City Mo. She later married Leonard Bishop Hogan in 1983. Mary as a member of Rescue Missionary Baptist Church she enjoyed singing and sharing the love of Christ. Mary enjoyed dancing, cooking, drawing, painting, fashion designing, sewing, and jewelry making. Mary also received a STARS certificate in foster and Adoption from Jackson County Family Services which extended her family with several children and grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her father Henry Lee Tanner, her mother Emmie Lee Tanner and her siblings George Henry Tanner, Ailean McGowen, Larry Leon Tanner, and Dennis Michael Tanner. Mary is survived by her very significant other Archie Miller of Kansas City MO; her children Paul Edward Tanner II, Twonna Rosshale Douglas, and Lartinda Cochran Shaw (Robert) of Kansas City Mo; her siblings Willie James Tanner, Rosie Lee Crawford, Georgia Mae Atwell, Shirley Ann Douglas Holt, Emma Pearl Tanner and Lisa Dillard of Kansas City Mo and Kansas City KS; her 22 grandchildren 25 great grandchildren; and 29 nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
