Mrs. Laura M. Brown

Laura Ann (Shane) Brown, the rock and glue of her family passed away on June 2nd, 2024, surrounded by her family full of love. Born to George Stallings and Olivia Greer on January 21st, 1961, and from that day forward Laura was full of life. Never a dull moment. Laura's journey began in Kansas City MO where she grew up with her siblings (several). Her childhood was filled with the simple joys of life, which laid the foundation for who she was. Everybody loved Shane. She had a heart of gold. Laura attended Westport High School, graduating in 1979 while already gainfully employed, because she liked nice things, so she had to work to get them, and Laura continued to work throughout her younger life. Over the last 20 years she was currently employed at the Kansas City Organic Recycling Company. It was also in 1979 that Laura's heart found the interest of Lloyd Flowers. Their long-lasting relationship brought three beautiful children Lloyd, Keva, and Ronnie. She loved them with everything in her, they meant the world to her. Laura married Leroy Brown Sr. June 20, 2008. Her and Leroy enjoyed each other's love and compassion for each other: he was the love of her life until he passed away. Sometime later Laura reunited with an old companion where a mutual relationship began and was current. Laura began to spend more time with her Family hanging out, taking vacations, celebrating one another and most of all loving each other. She loved dancing, listening to music, and having fun, but of course she had to have her "me" time with her BBF. Laura was always the one making sure everything was good and everyone was ok. She loved her Family and Friend no doubt. Laura was preceded in death by her mother Olivia Greer, husband Leroy brown, uncles Ronald Greer, Edward Greer and Robert Greer Jr. and nephew Demetrius Greer. Laura leaves to cherish the memories of her life, significant other Rodney Morris, her father George Stallings, her children Lloyd Greer (Kim), Keva Greer, and Ronald Flowers. Grandchildren Kenneth Clark (Jasmine), Kenzel Clark, Craig Robinson, Tamia Flowers, Lloyd Greer Jr., Alayah Flowers, and Ty'arrah Thorpe. Siblings Rochelle Greer, Luther Greer (Tona), John Davis Jr. (Denise) and her BBF Valerie. Many great grandchildren, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Laura was loved by many and will be truly missed. Funeral Serivces will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, 11:00am at the Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation from 9:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolence may be shared on our website.
