Mr. Jeremiah Gonzales

Jeremiah was born December 28, 2009, in Kansas City, Missouri. A few short months later he was fostered and adopted by his grandmother Cynthia, where he was raised as her own son in Kansas City, Kansas. Jeremiah attended schools in the USD 500 School District in Kansas City, Kansas throughout his elementary and middle school years. At the time of his passing, he was finishing up his freshman year at Harmon High School. Jeremiah was always surrounded by his loved ones, attending all events and family functions. He would make his presence known by laughter or just yelling to be heard. Jeremiah loved being entertained by family conversations, the sounds of the television, music, and bright colors. He enjoyed all types of music from gospel to sesame street songs. While listening to various music selections, he would light up the room with his smile or you could hear him humming to the song. Jeremiah's cousins would love to entertain him by talking to him and making him laugh. When Jeremiah wasn't at an event, everyone would always notice and ask where he was because he was always there. Although health wise Jeremiah lived a tough life, he was a fighter to the end. Jeremiah fought every day for the past 15 years to live and beat the life expectancy he was given. He endured surgery after surgery, and diagnosis after diagnosis, until he was called home. Jeremiah passed away on March 26,2025, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by his loved ones. Jeremiah was blessed, happy, loved, and well cared for by family and most importantly by his grandmother, turned Mother Cynthia. Jeremiah left a lasting impact on all the hearts and lives of everyone that was blessed to know or meet him, and he will be forever missed. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his great grandparents; an uncle; great uncles; and an aunt. He is survived by his grandmother turned mother Cynthia; his grandfather, Eugene; birth father, Hernezdas; aunts, Deanna (Eli); Vanilla, Jenee; uncle, DJ; immediate cousins; Ja Deion; Jae Mario;, Marquise; Deionte; Mo Nae; Jordan; Jaemiah; Jaemela; King; Yo Shi Yah; and a host of great aunts; uncles; and extended cousins. 2 Timothy 4:7 says, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Lawrence A.
