Mr. Harold Brown

Harold V. Brown was born July 14, 1981, in Kansas City, MO to the union of Howard V. Brown and Sheila M. Thompson. His beloved mother, Sheila M. Thompson, grandparents U.T. & Ollie Price, John Brown; brother, Melvin D. Thompson, uncles, Anthony (Pete) Price, Pete Brown; nephews, Leon-Dre Thompson-Jones, De’Vonte Brown and a niece, Emma Brown all preceded him in death. Harold (Bear) was loved by many. Harold (Bear) was a great father, brother, son, cousin, and friend with a pure heart of gold. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed fishing, camping, shopping, dancing, watching football and he was a true die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Bear, a true comedian for sure, loved making everyone laugh, and was definitely “the life of the party”. Harold was educated in the Kansas City school district, ultimately receiving his GED. Harold accepted Christ at an early age and loved going to church. He later rededicated his life to Christ and joined East Grand Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Bear was a business owner and started his business, All Season Masterminds, in the Lake of the Ozarks where he lived. For many years he worked using his inherited skills from his grandfather in construction. He was known as a “jack of all trades”. Harold is survived by his life long partner, Caris Shamp; father, Howard V. Brown, Sr.; grandmother, Hattie Bell Brown; daughter, JaKeva King, Emierre Brown, Aubrionna Shamp; sons, DeMarco Brown, Cam’Ron Shamp, Blake Shamp; sisters, Catrice (Mark) Taylor, Melva (Doriess) Thompson, Katrina (Brandon) Thompson-Lewis; brother, Howard V. Brown, Jr., Josh Shamp; nieces, Tameisha, Starr, Bree’ya, Tayuanna; nephews, Elliot, Cortez, Kevin, Santino, Howard, Brayden, Terrill; uncle, Melvin Price; extended family: bonus parents he loved like his own, Verna Robinson, Christy Gill (Elgin); children mother’s/best friends; Margret Robinson, Martisa King; Like Brothers; Cortez Robinson, Michael Williams, Donald Miles and a host of great uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Bear will truly be missed by so many. We all love Bear and we will see you again when we get to the other side. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, 2pm at the Watkins Heritage Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation from 1pm-2pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A.
