Mr. Ernest E. Ford, Jr.

Ernest Eugene Ford Jr., 71 , was born on June 20, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ernest E. Ford, Sr. and Earion (Elliott) Ford. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Randolph Ford, two sisters, Berniece Hester and Bennie Cummings, granddaughter, Andrea Dean, great granddaughter, E'Syiah Singleton, his inlaws, John Jones and Anna Harris. Ernest was educated in the Kansas City Public Schools and was a graduate of Paseo High School class of 1971. While at Paseo he was a football star. He later united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Joann Ford, for over fifty years and to this union three children were born, Andre Jones, Tiffany Ford and Ernest E. Ford III. His wife Joann also preceded him in death. Ernest was employed by the Kansas City Public School District as a plummer over 35 years. Retiring at an early age so he could begin enjoying life with his family.He was affectionately known by Brother, Daddy and Paw Paw to many he was the COMEDIAN OF THE FAMILY. He kept the jokes coming, he was a very laid-back guy, “ BUILT FORD TOUGH”! He said what he meant and meant what he said, he enjoyed playing dominos with friends and family usually winning most of the games! He was the best domino player in his circle. Ernest also loved listening to music and dancing, often with his great grandkids. Throughout his journey the knowledge and wisdom he passed on will be cherished for a lifetime. He departed this lif on March 27, 2026 at Research Medical Center. He leaves to cherish his memory,two sons, Andre Jones and Ernest E. Ford III (Shondell), one daughter,Tiffany Ford, grandchildren, Ferguson, Jakekiva, Chaquala, Danesha, Eboni, Joe, Tairesha, Syesha, Antyona, Tiffani, Nikyiah, great grandchildren, Markevion, Niyah’ca, Zaikeviyon, Zykhale, Jaidyn, Eddie, A’King, Paris, Jordyn, Wally, Zy’aire, Zakyiah, Deszion Jr., Deszmyn, Le’asia, Miracle, Bella, Amerah, Amir, Ay'den, Josiah, Azoria, Ramazi, Journee; Siblings, Elizabeth Fisher, (Jesse) Saundra Weaver and Shirley Ford, a host nephews, nieces other relatives and friends Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Linwood Boulevard SDA Temple . Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels.
