Mrs. Clareatha Mbom-Kinnamon

Clareatha Smith (58) affectionately known as “Ree” , was born on June 1, 1965 in Kansas City Missouri to the proud parents of Annie Rayford-Smith and Milton Washington, she was proceeded into death by (Father) Milton Washington, (Mother) Annie Rayford-Smith, (Son) Dennis Mbom Jr.(Grandson) Fred Brewster Jr. (Brothers) Raymond Smith, Terry Rayford. (Sisters) Sheila Smith, Wrickey Roberson and Berlinder Smith. Clareatha (Ree) attended Westport High School in Kansas City Missouri and graduated with the JROTC completion class of 1983. Ree- Loved the Lord, she excepted Christ at an early age, she later joined Community Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Handley. Ree- was a dedicated employee for Taco Bell as a general manager for 18 years, she later received her CDL and became a school bus driver for Ryder bus company, until she became disabled in 1999. Ree- was so full of joy, she was very outgoing, free-spirited, and compassionate, she would lend a helping hand to anyone she knew, and loved. She enjoyed socializing, and staying connected to her family and friends rather they were near or far, she was always a phone call away. You could always count on Ree for three things, her infectious smile and natural sense of humor, cleaning, and most of all sharing the “ Joy of Gift Giving”. You never had to worry about Ree being present or supportive in your time of need. her family & friends meant the absolute world to her. She will truly be missed. She departed this life peacefully on October 2, 2023. She will forever be loved and cherished in memory of those she leaves to mourn: A loving, caring and devoted husband, Thomas Kinnamon, (Daughter) Diane Smith-Taylor (Walter) (Daughter) Unique Smith, 3 brothers Larry Smith, James Smith and Lawrence Smith all from KCMO. 1 Sister Kathleen Sanders (Dennis) from Chicago. (Grand-children) De’Omar Thomas, Destiny Taylor and Malik Johnson. 2 (Great grandchildren) Amari Thomas and Amariauna Thomas, A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 21, 2023, 2:00pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
