Mr. Brent D. Robinson

Brent Donald Robinson was born on September 12,1979, in Kansas City, Missouri. This is the day that Boston Red Sox player Carl Yastrzemski collected his 3,000 hit in a 9-2 win over the New York Yankees. He was born to his parents Brenda Marie Cole-Dunham and Donald Robinson on that day in September. He joined both parents on July 17, 2026, along with his daughter, Briahna Nicole Robinson, grandparents, John and Elma Cole, his aunt Marie Howard- Cubie and nephew Marvin “Boogie” Gregory Jr. Brent graduated in 1998 from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was an important part of the nationally renowned Northeast JROTC Male drill team. His teammates said that they could not have won without him. During one of the team’s best seasons in more than 10 years, he played as an outside linebacker on the Northeast varsity football team, where he was known for his relentless spirit and hard hits. He was a major contributor to the team’s success. Brent believed deeply in love and partnership. He married his high school sweetheart, Samantha M. Bowers in 2001, sharing 7 years together and welcoming two sons, Brandon S. Robinson and James L. Robinson. In 2010, he married Jessica D. Hawkins, who he has two sons, Jayden and Jordan Robinson. Throughout his life, Brent took up many traits. He worked as a cook, maintenance supervisor, package handler, construction worker, and handyman, but his favorite was anything having to do with cars. Brent loved to work alongside his spiritual father, Doug Rose, and his spiritual brothers, Jacob and Brian Rose, rebuilding Dodge motors, car maintenance, and car audio at Vision Auto Mart. He would often take the boys to watch him as they got older. He doted over his children. The one love they all share is their love for sound systems; you often found them all together installing sound systems and competing against one another to see whose system is the loudest. Brent will always be remembered for his gentle spirit and kind heart. He loved to spend time with his family, make jokes and bring laughter into any room he entered. There wasn’t a task or a job that he couldn’t do. He always found a way to figure things out and was very handy. He was always willing to help and lend a hand to others. Brent’s journey of life ended July 17, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Robinson; his children, Brandon Robinson (Misty), James Robinson (Desiree), Jordan Robinson, Jayden Robinson, and Sophie Nahn and her mother Rashetta Josenberger; his five grandchildren, Jamison Robinson, Kamyrn Robinson, Micah Robinson, Kaliah and Jojo Galaviz. His mothers in Christ, Ruby Lee Gregory and Deborah Turner, his sister Dawn Marie McKenzie (Ken), his brothers, Marvin Gregory, Dino Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
