Ms. Bobbie J. Pierce

Obituary Bobbie Jean Pierce was born March 16, 1931. Bobbie was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Bobbie was the middle child out of three children born to Ophelia Robinson and Samuel Middleton. Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband Lemal Pierce, parents, grandparents, and siblings Samuel and Euetta, and her oldest son Kelly Jackson and a host of other family members. Mrs. Pierce received her formal education at R.T. Coles vocational school where she completed the 11th grade. At a young age Bobbie accepted Christ as her savior. Shortly after high school Bobbie married Rudolph Jackson Jr. The marriage later ended in divorce, but one son Kelly Jackson was born of that union. On July 2, 1968 Bobbie married Lemal Pierce. Their union was blessed, and they had three children together: Jerry Pierce, Eugene Pierce, and Camille Giles. Bobbie raised her four children in a loving home where she served her family as the homemaker. Bobbie enjoyed being the life of the party, she loved music and dancing, entertaining guests, and cooking soul food. Bobbie also loved baking and would make the best cakes, pineapple upside down and german chocolate cake were her favorites to bake. Bobbie was also an avid fashionista, she loved shopping and dressing in bright colors and exquisite fabrics. As a lifelong Kansas City resident Bobbie loved BBQ and enjoyed going to Gates BBQ monthly. She loved the presidential platter, strawberry pop, and a pint of beer. Bobbie departed this life at Pleasant Valley nursing home where she was a resident for six years on February 2, 2022. Bobbie passed peacefully of old age. Bobbie leaves to cherish her memory two sons Jerry Pierce, and Eugene Pierce; one daughter Camille Giles and her husband Frank Giles, all residents of Kansas City. She also leaves behind 11 Grandchildren: Kelly Jackson Jr, Ray Jackson, Jerry Lewis, Jermone Lewis, Jermaine Pierce, Dontae Drone, Davyon Drone, Kaneisha Giles, Alesia Giles, Diamond Giles, Jessica Giles, and a host of other relatives and friends. One of Bobbie’s sayings that we will forever be cherished is “There is room on the cross even for me”. The family invites family and friends to join us for services on Wednesday 11:00 am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons funeral home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. A private burial will be held Thursday with just the immediate family. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
