Mr. Dwight Innis-Dixon

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18 Dwight Innis-Dixon was born on April 21, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri, to his loving parents Laura and Dwight. Dwight graduated from Southeast High School in 2006. From a young age, Dwight showed a deep passion for music, which became an integral part of his life's journey. He possessed a remarkable talent that allowed him to connect with others through the power of music. Dwight's love for music was only surpassed by the bond he shared with his twin brother Dwayne. Their connection was unbreakable, an unspoken language that transcended words. They were each other's pillars of strength, supporting one another through the highs and lows of life. This bond, filled with love and understanding, will forever be cherished by those who knew them. Dwight's legacy lives on through his beloved son, Dwight Jr., and stepson Cae'lun Garner. Dwight's memory will be forever treasured by his brothers: Marlon, Dwayne, and Anthony. They shared a unique brotherhood, filled with shared experiences, laughter, and unwavering support. Dwight's presence in their lives will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. He also leaves behind his adoring nieces, Lyric and Omari, and nephew Anthony Jr. (AJ) who held a special place in his heart. Dwight's love and guidance will continue to inspire them as they navigate their own paths in life. Dwight was preceded in death by his mother Laura Renee Innis and Dwight Dixon, maternal grandparents, Howard and Violet, his paternal grandmother, Clarice, and his uncle, Charles (Chuck). Dwight's precious memories will also remain with his surviving family members, uncles, Howard Innis (Liz), Dean Dixon (Vicki), and aunts Theresa (Duane) & Tina Dixon, Nevada Belton, Sharon Byrd (Louis), and Rachelle Roberts. In our collective mourning, may we find solace, support, and the reassurance that we are not alone. Together, let us find the strength to navigate this painful path and honor Dwight's memory by living each day with gratitude, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to love. Dwight touched the lives of many friends, cousins, and loved ones. His memory will forever live on in their hearts, bringing smiles and reminding them of the beautiful soul he was. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 2pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm at the chapel.
