Obituary Deborah (Deb) Ann Isaac Hatten, 62, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away April 24, 2021 after a difficult battle with several health conditions in her sleep with a smile on her face. Deborah was born January 13, 1959 to Willie Isaac and Lola Levi in Sondheim, Louisiana. Deborah started elementary school in Sondheim, Louisiana. Deb went on to Castlemont High School and graduated in Oakland, California then on to further her education in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deb’s mother put her in modeling school. She became a model before a twist in her life came about. Deb was the type to feed anyone that was hungry. She would even put you on her couch. Her heart would reach out and put smiles on faces. She would make you laugh when sad and talk about God and His wonders. Her family will miss Thanksgiving holidays without her physical being and as her spirit is with us. She will be down in our hearts and souls forever until we awaken in eternal life as God keep us until then. Deborah had grown up as a loving sister, niece and cousin to her family. Helping her mom take care of her siblings and loving to do so. She became a mother too at the age of twenty-six having her first-born Sunday Hatten followed by Jairus Stevens, Isaac Rodgers, April Johnson, Deborah (Debbie), Melvina Jackson and Hortense Harris. Deborah Ann resided in Kansas City, Missouri to grow her family. Although life had its ups and downs in her life, she always embraced and loved her family. Deborah also cared from her heart about all her children, grandchildren and prayed for the mending of her family. Deborah was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church for over twenty-five years. Deborah Ann loved Recovery. She became a member of AA and CA and was sponsored by Binki. She loved family gatherings but most of all she loved God and Jesus Christ and believed in Them so. She loved telling stories about her fun times with family, travel and shopping. She was a prayer worrier. She would not let you eat without washing your hands and saying your prayers. Deborah held several different jobs from Harris Casino to in home heath care. She also volunteered to feed the homeless and helped anyone around her. Deb loved the color money green and embraced sunlight. Deb will be dearly missed but as she rests and wait upon that trumpet to sound, she will arise with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Deb was preceded in death by her mother and father, grandma and granddad, son, Isaac Rodgers, and brothers. Deb leaves to cherish her memory her six children, Sunday Hatten, Jairus Stevens, April Johnson, Deborah (Debbie) Melvina Jackson and Hortense Harris; grandson, Darius, Destiny Diamond Wren, Day’Smyne Redmond, Destin and Domanet, Brian McCord, Jarvis Stevens, Jaicn Stevens, Cory and Lala, Sepneva and Zayden, Justice and Isaac Smith; six great grandchildren; a host of brothers and sisters, Connie, Nathaniel, Robert Earl, Jhoni, Pam; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021, 11:00am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private Disposition. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am at the chapel.
