Shikita Samone Edwards 44, passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri.
She was born January 25, 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert Emory and Debra President. She attended school in the Kansas City area and graduated from DeLaSalle. She furthered her education at the Metropolitan Community College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in the medical field.
Shikita had a passion for helping others and wasn’t afraid of needles so it was no surprise to anyone who knew her when she became a phlebotomist. She loved her job!
When she was not at work she was spending time with her children including her beloved dog Brucer admiring ladybugs and butterflies. Also, she loved the color purple.
Shikita accepted Christ years ago and often visited First Baptist Church of Raytown.
Shikita Samone Edwards leaves to cherish in her memories her husband of 23 years Delwayne Edwards, four children; Unique, Bianca, Delena, and Keidel, two step children; Delica and Delwayne Jr., one granddaughter; A’zariah Vaugh, her parents; Robert Emory and Debra President, two brothers; Robert President and Lamont President, one sister; Chaniece Tillis of Grand Prairie, Texas, her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a host of relatives, friends, and all of Kansas City.
