Raymond Minor Williams, 72, died suddenly on November 9, 2019. Born September 11, 1947 in Walls, Louisiana, he was the second of seven children born to his parents Warner and 4Elnora (Minor) Williams. His father, two sisters, one brother and his only daughter proceeded him in death. Raymond received his education in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Public School System, and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri where he lived a joyful life. Upon moving to Kansas City, Raymond became employed at Superior Linen as a Machine Operator. He later changed his career path and worked for the Kansas City, Missouri School District. He addended Beacon Hill Church of the Nazarene, where visited faithfully until his health prevented him from doing so. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Elnora (Minor) Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a loving and devoted companion of over 20 years, Anna M. Cox and her two sons, Edwin Cox, Sr. and Michael Cox of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Jarrett and Diane Penn; one brother, Michael Williams all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and, a loving and devoted extended family in Kansas City, Missouri that consists of five sisters, Glenda Jones, Rachelle Price, Mary Richardson, Cheryl Langford and Karen Wells (David); he also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends in home town of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and, a host of extended nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends in Kansas City, Missouri. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Beacon Hill Church of the Nazarene 2814 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Mo. Private disposition.
